Making a freight dashboard readable at 5am

Northline’s dispatchers start at five in the morning and were working in an interface designed for a daylit office.

We sat with them before dawn. The redesign is for the light, the hour and the hand: a dark scheme by default, larger targets, the three numbers that matter at the top, and nothing that needs a second look. Support tickets fell 41 percent in the first two months.
